Have you figured me out yet??

So have you figured me out yet?  Have you noticed what I love to shoot?  Well hopefully with this blog you have noticed that I am not your "traditional" photographer.  I am afraid to be normal like everybody else.

I am not afraid to try something different and bold.  Sometimes I come up with some crazy ideas that my husband totally disagrees with and at the end he loves them too.  I like to shoot my clients emotions and interactions the way they really are at home and the way their loved ones are going to remember them by.  Not some stiff pose trying to be someone they are not.  My style is fun and relaxed, that's what I love to shoot.

A word on Editing

I have received several emails asking about my editing style. "Style" is such a broad word that it is impossible to describe my style in simple terms. Some of the questions are, Do you edit every image given to a client? Is facial blemishes or scar editing done to every image?

I am going to show you some samples of what gets done around here.
This is a example of a raw file straight out of the camera.

After I have downloaded all my raw files I go in and run a basic "proof" edit on all the files our clients receive. This is what a proof image looks like.

After this process is done, they basically get put on hold until the client has made their album and print selections and then they go through an extensive photoshop overhaul and result in this. At this point any blemish or scar photoshoping is done.
